If you’re often found enviously staring at the neighbor’s lush and green lawn, but you simply don’t have the time or inclination to tend to your own rather sad looking grass, cheat. Artificial lawns are becoming increasingly popular and it’s hardly surprising because they ensure that your greenery always looks great without you having to so much as set the sprinklers.

Powerwash Paths and Patios

It’s amazing how much difference pressure washing the patio areas and paths of your garden can make. We tend not to notice just how dirty the stone in our garden has gotten until we clean it up and see how much it shines in the sun. Pressure washers can be bought or hired very reasonably and it takes very little time to use them, so why not give it a go. You can even use them to brighten up the brickwork of your home for an even more dramatic effect, too.

If you’re the kind of family that loves to play outdoors, and as a result, you have a garden that brimming with footballs, basketball hoops and a myriad of lawn games, simply investing in some additional garden storage could make all the difference. Sheds and stores are ideal, but if you don’t want to ruin the look of the garden with them, find some benches that have under-seat storage instead.

Perhaps the ultimate in making the garden look great without much effort is having a professional come in and pave it over. It’s far easier to maintain stone that it is lawn and shrubbery, and you can get some really pretty paving options these days. Combined with flower pots and comfy furniture, a paved garden can be every bit the relaxing retreat as a more luscious garden.

Pot It Up

A really neat way of keeping the garden tidy, while also making it very pretty and extremely colorful, is to fill it with pots and planters.  That way, you get the joy of being surrounded by all of your favorite plants and flowers, without all of the hard work and mess that comes with digging up the garden and planting bulbs or seeds.

Strategically Placed Screens

If you’re being really lazy, but you still want the garden to look great, you could employ the ultimate cheat and simply screen off any areas that are less desirable, like that area you haven’t gotten around to planting yet or especially the areas where you keep the bins and the compost heap. Out of sight, out of mind as they say.

As you can see, you really don’t have to be a seasoned gardener to have a beautiful garden. You can enjoy your outdoor space with little to no effort at all!
