As a mom, I am constantly trying to steer my kids away from junk food (the husband too!) and towards healthier options that are better for them, and usually better tasting. Who knows sweet, delicious goodness better than fresh air and bright sunshine, right? As I’m sure you’ve learned as well – does not always work that way.
I have a secret to fill you in on – Gimbal’s Fine Candies are the perfect treat for those need-a-sweet-snack moments and one snack you won’t have to worry about when consumed in moderation. (Which in my household means you hide the package, and only put a small dish of candies out at a time – otherwise the entire bag is gone within 30 minutes).
We received two bags each of the Sour Gourmet Jelly Beans, the Gourmet Jelly Beans made with real fruit juice, and the Scottie Dogs to review.
Like I mentioned above, I had to start the boys out slow so they would not lose their minds, so we started with the Gourmet Jelly Beans made with real fruit juice. All four of us loved each of the 41 different flavors, except for the licorice. Never has been a favorite of ours. I really liked the pomegranate and the boysenberry flavors, Tre’s favorite was the Kiwi Strawberry Smoothie, and Jonathan loved the Cotton Candy and Wild Cherry flavors. I shared some with my neighbor, and she loved them all except for the java (coffee) flavor. I suppose it depends on your personal taste buds and preferences – but all the flavors were spot on and really delicious!
Next we decided to try the Sour Gourmet Jelly Beans. I really enjoyed these as did the boys. These are also made with real fruit juice and packed with an unforgettable sour experience. While some were a bit more sour than others (for me), the boys really took to these and said that these were their favorites overall. They come in 12 delicious flavors!
