#GivingTuesday Bloggers – Mighty Individually, Together We Can Change the World

#GivingTuesday 2015

I am honored to have the opportunity to partner with several wonderful bloggers from all over the world to show our support of the #GivingTuesday movement. If you are a blogger and would like to join us, you can join our Facebook group or link up your own Giving Tuesday posts using our linkup below.

No act of kindness, however small, is ever wasted.

I have had the pleasure of being involved with Giving Tuesday and their worldwide movement to set aside one day for all of mankind to give back to those less fortunate. Entire cities are joining in and celebrating the start of the holiday season by giving back.

What is Giving Tuesday

Now in its fourth year, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Observed on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources.

Life in a House Blogger Challenge

Life in a House of Testosterone is challenging 1,000 bloggers to share a post or #UNSELFIE on #GivingTuesday (12/1/15) about giving. Tag your photo or post with #LIAHChallenge and #GivingTuesday and we will tally up all of the submissions on 12/2. Post to Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, Google or leave a link to your post here in our linkup.

People think that they cannot make a difference. Change begins when you take the necessary steps to show an act of kindness, when you smile at a stranger on the street and brighten their day. When you pay for the person’s meal behind you in the drive-thru. When you donate your time to your local non-profit organization. When you help out on a citywide cleanup day. Each of these small steps combine to make our world a better place. The #GivingTuesday movement is one of those small steps that in the past three years has changed the world we live in drastically, and for the better. Join us in making #GivingTuesday a new family tradition each year in your household.

Follow #GivingTuesday on Instagram, Google, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube for more inspiration!
