There is nothing worse than going to the kitchen in the middle of the night to get yourself a glass of water and find that you are out of bottled water. Most people, depending on where you live in the world, wouldn’t think to buy bottled water. They get their water directly from the source because they know that the water that comes out of the tap is going to taste nice. The reason it tastes good is because water is filtered and clean!
The companies put the right filters and cleaners in the water to ensure that it is as pure as possible before it goes through the faucet from the kitchen. It is much cheaper to drink tap water than it is to buy bottled water all of the time. But if you’re stuck with tap water and it doesn’t taste as good as it should or it hasn’t been cleaned properly so you can taste that metallic after taste? Then it’s time to look at how you can make your tap water taste better. You shouldn’t have to pay more for water than you would for a gallon of gas. So let’s take a look at how you can make tap water taste good.
Start Using Water Filters
Water softeners are one thing, but a water filter from RainSoft can make your tap water taste amazing. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on a water filter, but a water filter that’s attached to your sink is going to immediately filter the water that comes through so that it tastes cleaner and cooler than you expect. Basic filters don’t filter everything out, but you do want to remove that chlorine/metallic taste and the smell of tap water that is going to linger on your upper lip.
Buy A Water Filter Jug
If you can’t, or you are not allowed to attach a water filter directly to your tap in the kitchen, then consider buying a water filter jug. These are the jugs that you fill with tap water but keep in the fridge so that you can pull yourself filtered water at any time during the day. It’s much easier to enjoy tap water when you do this, but the problem with this option is that you are the one that has to remember to refill it every time it’s empty. You think that would be easy, but it’s not as easy as you’d think.
Get Yourself a Personal Water Bottle
It can often help to get yourself a water bottle that comes with a filter. You can buy two or three of these and keep them in the fridge so that they stay cold. This is especially good in the summer or if you’re looking for something that’s going to keep your drinks cool overnight so that you can bring this bottle to the bedroom for your bedside table.
Infuse It With Something Sweet
Sometimes the water is healthy enough to drink, but it just doesn’t taste particularly good. You can eliminate this problem by infusing your water with lemon or raspberries, or even both. Plain water can be boring, but you may not want to turn to soft drinks or cordial all the time to dilute it. Infusing it with fresh fruit can allow the taste of the fruit to go through the water, and that’s what you taste when you’re drinking it.
