I’ve Been Burnt and Cut My Locks

Snapshot_20120526_1Today was the official start of pool season here at our apartment complex.  After 2 hours I was already cooked.  T. couldn’t wait to get out there and jump in though – water was cold as ice!  Once you got in it was alright, but for me, I need a few weeks of 90+ temperatures to warm that water up before I’m comfortable staying in!  I got in once and that was it.  The rest of the time I sat on the sidelines and soaked up the rays, read a few magazines, and watched my little fish man enjoy himself!

I also chopped my hair last night.  Been telling the Man Thing that I desperately needed a haircut before I yanked every strand of it out of my head would like to get my hair cut before the summer got here, but as with most men, it went in one ear and out the other.  So I finally got sick of waiting and snipped about 4 to 5 inches off last night after I took a shower.  I received several compliments on it at the pool today – so must not have done a horrible job on it!  With that said, a day at the pool wears you out – and I’d forgotten just how much so.  So I am off to slather on some Noxzema and snuggle on the couch with the dog, who totally lost her mind because I was gone all afternoon!

  1. Update on the burn – been hiding in the house away from the sunlight like a vampire since Saturday – NOT a fun way to spend the Memorial Day weekend but necessary. Got Dad out of the house and at the pool with the kids though roflmao! Whatever works! Been in a good deal of pain but hopefully tonight will be the last of it – been getting steadily better day by day!
