Jazz Things Up with Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard

wine, wine tasting, conventionI had the pleasure of attending the 2016 Virginia Wine Expo at the Richmond Convention Center with my daughter this year. Aside from the absolutely delicious array of wine from the Virginia wineries and several from Italy as well, there were vendors who had products to compliment the wines. Products like Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard.

Now when you think of wine, one of the first phrases that pops into your head is cheese and wine, right? Who on earth would think of dipping their cheese in a dip though, let alone a mustard? Really? The wonderful woman at the booth though assured us that we would be pleasantly surprised so April and I tested the waters. We dipped our cheese in the dipping mustard and tasted it. I’m kind of kicking myself for not snapping a photo of the look on our faces. Surprised, delighted, astonished – all of them ran across our faces. We actually wanted to dip some more but there were others waiting to be astonished behind us and we didn’t want to look greedy or anything. That one taste alone was enough to sell April and I and we both bought a jar of the mustard. I am very selective at what I purchase at trade shows, and will only purchase something that I truly know that my family will enjoy and that I personally love, and Herlocher’s made the grade.

I love dipping my food in sauces – ranch dip, barbecue sauce, cheese dips, you name it – but what I absolutely love about Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard is that it is fat free, salt free and gluten free. So I can dip all I want without any of the guilt!

You can add Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard to sandwiches and salads, use it when you are grilling and cooking. Baste your food right before removing it from the grill and it adds a delicious zing to chicken, sausage, hamburgers, shrimp, and pork chops. You can mix equal parts of Herlocher’s with yogurt and make an absolutely delicious seafood sauce! The options that you have available are infinite! Let your imagination go crazy!

Nobody “DIPPs” just once — and so, in record-breaking time, the “sweet and rough” Dipping Mustard that began as a tangy accompaniment to pretzels at the bar area of the Train Station Restaurant in State College, PA, has expanded into Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard. Our customers rave about it as an exciting culinary experience. Behind Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard is a story about the power of consumers who know what they like.

It all began in February 1978, at the Train Station Restaurant in State College, PA. Our DIPP was a staple at the bar with pretzels and drinks. It was a unique specialty that became a big hit with the bar crowd. Soon customers began asking us for dip to enjoy at home. As soon as Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard became available for take- out, the word spread fast. Customers throughout the Northeast began asking for it at their local stores. We were thrilled when the grocer stores started calling and our DIPP was on their shelves.

Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard is a locally made, family-owned company, based in central Pennsylvania and boasts a family recipe from the old country. We have very close ties with Penn State University and it’s rich sports traditions.

Bring Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard to your next tailgate and pass it around. It’s a salt free, gluten free, fat free treat for everyone. Try it and see!

Here’s what a few of my friends had to say after they tried Herlocher’s Dipping Mustard. They were skeptics at first but I turned them into believers!

OMG, I’ve been meaning to tell you how awesome that mustard was! My whole family tore it up with the ham yesterday for Easter lol! Thank you so much! S*** was so good!

I couldn’t stop eating the mustard with ham on our Ukrops rolls!

I tried this on a Jimmy Dean sausage biscuit with your special mustard and I just died and came back to life – yummm!! Especially after working 13.5 hours without eating that hit the spot, but I really think it’s the mustard!
