I know you have heard this a million times – Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I do agree that a protein-packed breakfast will get you up and running faster than a cup of coffee will, but you know … there are some days when you just look at the stove and go, nope. Not happening today.
Breakfast for the Children
When I was younger, and my children were in elementary and middle school, I ‘tried’ to make sure that they had a good breakfast before going off to fill their noggins with knowledge. Some days were hit or miss, and if the school offered breakfast – I sent them on their way with breakfast money!
While nearly 77% of toddlers and preschool-age children are eating breakfast according to a survey by Kellogg’s – breakfast consumption dips as American children get older. That number falls to 50% in the middle school years, and to 36% among high school students.
When You Don’t Want to Cook
I am not big on cooking during the week – no matter what meal of the day it is – especially during the blazing hot days of summer. I get my husband off to work, check my emails, messages, and plan my day, and usually between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. I will rustle up something quick for breakfast that requires minimal effort or time.
That’s why I love items like these Freedom Jars. Packed with protein and long-lasting carbs that will keep you full for hours, not only are they delicious but they are also rather pretty to look at! They are all-natural, vegan, and gluten-free, and come in a snack size as well as their normal size.
One of my must-have items every morning though when I sit down to go through the emails and plan my day, is something caffeinated. My body is not a huge fan of coffee any longer, so usually a small glass of soda will do but there are days when I really need an extra boost. Those are the days when I wish I had an https://www.anthonysespresso.com machine in my home. It would save me from driving to the local coffee shop to get a coffee with a shot or two of espresso!
If you’re like me and just love taste testing different things when you get bored with the same old same old, why not make a little spare cash on the side? If your kids are adventurous, you can sign them up too!
So to summarize, if you’re feeling burned out from cooking every day but don’t want to go the fast food route – there are many services out there who can deliver a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly supply of what you want – or provide you with the equipment you need to make what you want at home with minimal mess and fuss!
