I am thrilled to be able to offer my readers an awesome giveaway that centers around the reason for the season. We are giving away 2 packages of DVDs from our friends at Provident Films.
While not all of our movies below have a Christmas theme, I know that you’ll enjoy each one of them! Here are the DVDs that we are giving away to two lucky winners!
Prize Package #1
Saving Christmas
Attending his sister’s annual Christmas party, Kirk Cameron discovers there is nothing worse than being around a “Scrooge!” But Kirk won’t let his brother-in-law’s negative take on the season dampen his Christmas spirit. Join Kirk and dive headfirst into all of the joy, celebration, feasting, imagination, and traditions that glorify Jesus as the true “reason for the season.”
Starring Kirk Cameron and his real-life sister, Bridgette Ridenour, Saving Christmas is an engaging movie that provides your family with a biblical basis for our time-honored traditions and celebrations, including Christmas trees, St. Nicholas, and the nativity.
King’s Faith
After Brendan King’s life spiraled to rock bottom, the teen found hope in a new relationship with God while serving time in a juvenile penitentiary. Recently released from prison, Brendan finds solace in the foster home of a couple struggling with suppressed grief from the death of their son. As the street-wise teen enrolls at a suburban high school, he soon finds support from a group of believers. Yet the bonds of his old way of life in the city are strong, and his former gang won’t let him walk away so easily. In his darkest moment, Brendan found faith. Now he must decide if it’s worth the price to hold on to it.
Mercy Rule
When the game is on the line, you want people you can count on – in baseball and in life. In the midst of a challenging season, Cody learns he’s not the best pitcher … or the best teammate. Meanwhile, Cody’s dad, John, is losing to an unscrupulous lobbyist scheming to take over the family business.
Both Cody and John think their only option is to fight their problems on their own. It’s not until they learn to rely on friends, teammates, and – most importantly – their faith and family, that they discover their battles can truly be won.
Starring Kirk and Chesea Cameron, Bas Rutten, and comedian Tim Hawkins, Mercy Rule is a film for every family that embraces the values of mercy, patience, sacrifice, and trusting God.
The Second Chance
Grammy Award-winning artist, Michael W. Smith, gives a passionate performance as a suburban pastor who is forced to confront his own prejudices in this powerful tale of faith, redemption, and finding common ground.
At the wealthy church The Rock, Ethan Jenkins brings parishioners to their feet with his electrifying music. But Ethan’s unconventional ways upset the church elders, and as a result, they give him a new assignment: to work for The Rock’s sister church in the city’s poorest neighborhood. Joining forces with a brash, street-smart minister, Ethan’s faith and loyalties are put to the ultimate test to overcome differences and restore hope in an area desperate for change.
Prize Package #2
Moms’ Night Out
All Allyson and her friends want is a peaceful, grown-up evening of dinner and conversation … a long-needed mom’s night out. But in order to enjoy high heels, adult conversation and food not served in a paper bag, they need their husbands to watch the kids for three hours – what could go wrong?
Unconditional
In this film inspired by true events, successful author/illustrator Samantha Crawford is living a charmed life, until her husband is murdered. She’s plunged into despair, and loses her faith. It’s only after an unexpected meeting with a childhood friend, Joe, that she begins to feel a faint glimmer of hope. As she sees the impact Joe has on so many people, her heart is opened to new possibilities. But when she is pulled back into her husband’s murder case, her newfound hope will be tested.
Beware of Christians
Alex, Matt, Michael, and Will have grown up as Bible-believing Christians doing all the right things. Growing older, however, they realize that the Jesus in the Bible doesn’t quite look like the healthy, wealthy American Jesus they’ve been trained to know and love.
In search of truth and deeper meaning, the four leave their college routines and, with little more than the clothes on their backs, travel across Europe to take a closer look at their own Christian habits.
Materialism, sex, alcohol, and entertainment are only a few of the topics dissected in their look at the temptations and struggles of the average college Christian.
Fireproof
A movie … a marriage … a movement! At work, inside burning buildings, Captain Caleb Holt lives by the old firefighter’s adage: Never leave your partner behind. At home, in the cooling embers of his marriage, he lives by his own rules. His job is to rescue others. Now Caleb must face his toughest job ever … rescuing his wife’s heart.
