Do you ever wonder what it would be like to receive a letter from God? To have a conversation with him? Author P.K. Hallinan has, and he brings us A Love Letter From God which gives us a glimpse into what God might say in a personal letter written to a child.
I had the pleasure of receiving a copy of A Love Letter From God to review, and I am extremely impressed with the quality of the rich and textured illustrations by Laura Watson. The hardcover book has die-cuts in various shapes throughout the book and tells your child about the unconditional nature of God’s love through a simple yet lyrical language. I really enjoyed how the die-cuts tied in with the previous page design to keep the story and pages intertwined with each other.
I especially love that each page is a sturdy page, able to handle the dribbles of ice cream or a spilled drink that will inevitably fall upon the pages of your child’s new favorite book. The pages are meant to endure much love from your child (including the occasional dribble of something or other) as they are reminded of God’s eternal love.
A Love Letter From God would make an exceptional Valentine’s Day gift for your child and will offer them inspiration each and every day as they are reminded how God demonstrates his eternal love through everyday miracles and by the wonder of His presence in their lives each day. Your children will also learn to appreciate their own individuality and how to use their unique gifts to be a blessing to others.
About the Author
P. K. Hallinan has been creating books for children since his wife first asked him to write for their two boys more than 30 years ago. Today Hallinan writes uplifting stories about holidays, relationships, and life values.
“When I started this project, I felt that God told me to ‘Just let children know how much I love them.’ So I asked Him to speak the words Himself, through my heart, and I would put them to paper. And I believe He did this. This book’s message reinforces the presence of God in a child’s life by showing how God manifests Himself at every moment of every day,” said Hallinan.
In this sweet title by P. K. Hallinan, the author supposes what God might say in a personal letter written to a child. The unconditional and unlimited nature of God's love is revealed through simple and lyrical language. I love you, My child, so hear what I say: Nothing can pry Me or drive Me away. Your future's as brilliant as the sun on the sea... And I'll love you forever, through all eternity. Rich and textured illustrations and fun die-cuts will make this heartwarming book a family favorite for years to come.
