Visit Theme Parks

There are a lot of theme parks dotted around the UK, so adrenalin junkies will find plenty of thrills and spills to fill up their time! Theme Parks in Britain are suitable for the family. There are many rides for young children, most of which allow adults to go with their kids. Every park will have various restaurants and cafes on site, offering affordable and filling meals. Most theme parks even allow you to take a picnic in with you, so you’ll be able to have a really cheap day out!

Visit a Castle

The UK is steeped in over a thousand years of history. You will be able to see so much just by driving around the countryside! There are many castles and fortresses all over the country, most of which you are able to enter for a small admission cost. Bodiam Castle is a famous stronghold in East Sussex from the 14th Century. Up in northern England, you’ll find Alnwick Castle in Northumberland. This impressive structure dates back to 1096.

Visit the Coast

As the UK is made up of a number of islands, there is plenty of coastline and beaches to discover! The country’s weather may not be ideal for the beach most of the time. However, you can still enjoy it! Kids will love building sand castles and splashing around in the sea whatever the weather! Brighton is a popular seaside destination down on the southern coast. The coastal town is known for its laid back attitude and quick transport links to London. There’s also some great coast in Wales. Anglesey on the northeast coast of Wales is popular for tourists wanting to go for a paddle or relax on a beach.

Visit London

A trip to the UK isn’t quite complete without a visit to the capital! London is packed full of history and culture. Visit the Tower of London for a glimpse into the city’s past and take a peek into the grounds of Buckingham Palace to try to spy the royal family! Musical theatre is a big deal in London, and the West End is a popular destination for evening entertainment. Head to Leicester Square if you want the chance to see some Hollywood stars at a movie premiere!
