Why I Play Games Online

When you need a break - plays.org is there for you!

My husband says I’m addicted to my games. They are mostly bingo and solitaire games, though I did play Candy Crush for a while till I reached a particularly difficult level that I just could not get past and said the hell with it. When life gets stressful, however, as it often does around here, my face is in my phone playing Solitaire Cash or on my computer playing my bingo games … until I found Plays.org.

Now before you go all “this is boring” and hit the button to go to another article, hear me out. Did you know that studies have shown that playing casual games can actually help lower stress and anxiety and help elevate your mood? Unless you lose of course haha! The reason is that these games cause a reduction in outside distractions – for a few minutes, it is just you trying to beat the game. If you’re like me, you get hyper-focused on winning the game and trying to out strategize the computer. It’s literally a scientific fact people. I love being able to tell my husband that so he will leave me be for a few minutes.

I suffer from bouts of depression and anxiety, sometimes having debilitating panic attacks where I can’t breathe, or depression so severe that I won’t get out of bed – literally can’t get out of bed. I was on Prozac for many years when the kids were younger, but I finally got to the point where I didn’t need it every day, and then eventually I only needed it occasionally, so now my doctor has me on an “as needed” medication that I can take when things get really bad and I need to snap out of it within an hour.

So for me, playing games for a bit always helps to boost my mood and pull me out of my funk. I remember back in the early 90s I spent every waking moment I could playing I love my bingo games but even they get boring sometimes. I absolutely love games where you make food and serve your customers and run your own little store or restaurant. I love being able to redecorate the stores and restaurants whenever I want. To me, it is soothing. So I was absolutely thrilled when I found this website, Plays.org, that has 100s of games in practically every genre you could imagine.

Tap Supermarket gets CRAZY FUN to keep up with as all these little people empty your shelves in record time

Two of my favorites are Tap Supermarket and Open Restaurant under the Simulation Games listing. For those of you who are holiday fans like me, they have a holiday collection and I love this one, Escape the Fuzz lol! Kind of like Pac-Man and Grand Theft Auto all rolled into one. You can turn your car into a steamroller and run over the cop cars to score 500 points. It’s loads of fun.

Escape the Fuzz

If you loved Pac-Man you’re gonna love this game!

Santa Girl Runner

I am NOT coordinated enough to grab gifts and jump over obstacles to make it very far on this one but it’s loads of fun to play! My youngest son beat my tail on this no problem LOL!

You need to be quick and have good reflexes to jump over obstacles and collect your packages!
