This policy is valid as of 01 January 2009.

This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. For questions about this blog, please contact Kimberly Miller at admin@lifeinahouse.net.

I have hungry teenagers, who are now men. Who eat constantly. I also have a granddaughter and another grandchild on the way.

FTC Disclosure

The FTC requires bloggers to disclose whenever there is a financial interest or bias related to a recommendation or whenever a blogger’s opinion may be financially motived in any way. More importantly, I have a desire to always be transparent and honest with my readers and to disclose how I make money from this website.

Affiliate Links

The FTC also requires disclosure of any affiliate links. I note at the top of a post when affiliate links are present, but for disclosure purposes, assume that any link you click on is an affiliate link. This means that I will earn a small commission from Amazon or another company if you decide to purchase a product I have linked to.

This means that if you order something from our 2020 Amazon Toy List or some healing herbs you can grow at home, I earn a small commission, and these commissions eventually add up to help me do things like pay for hosting and feed my kids and grandkids. For this, I am very grateful when you use a link (like this one to buy stuff on Amazon) because it helps me keep lifeinahouse.net operating and avoid slammed refrigerator doors when there’s nothing in the house to eat.

You will see three buttons (as shown above) at the top of recent posts that state one or more of the following items.

  • Affiliate Links (there are links included for our affiliate programs)
  • PR Sample (we received a product in exchange for a review or post)
  • Sponsored Post (we received some form of payment to write/publish this article)

We do so because we do not want to anger the Federal Trade Commission so in accordance with their guidelines, we want you to know that we may receive products, money, or other forms of compensation for reviews, posts, and/or advertisements.

All opinions are 100% our own and simply put, if we don’t like it, you won’t find it here because we won’t endorse it. We bring you valuable, informative information and fun products to enhance your life because we’re all about sharing the cool stuff.

This blog accepts forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions, or other forms of compensation.

This blog abides by word of mouth marketing standards. We believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity. The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post will be clearly identified as paid or sponsored content.

The views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own. Any product claim, statistic, quote or other representation about a product or service should be verified with the manufacturer, provider or party in question.

Oh, and just to make the folks at Amazon happy, here’s our disclosure for that too – Life in a House is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
