Mom's Recipes - Pork Roast with Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 3 to 4 pound pork roast
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 pints fresh sauerkraut
  • 2 quarts water
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar

Instructions

  • Place pork roast in roasting pan
  • Rub roast with brown sugar, salt and pepper
  • Place sauerkraut and onions around the roast evenly
  • Add 2 quarts of water
  • Bake at 325 degrees for about 3 hours
