Vox Populi Season 2 with Sean Astin

I have several causes that I am passionate about, and I’m one of those bloggers who watches what our government does, and shakes my head at the mess they have made of our wonderful country. I am not a diehard politician. I am not a college graduate with a background in politics. I’m a mother and a blogger, taking life one day at a time, and doing what I can to raise great kids who will be upstanding citizens when they grow up. I watch the news on television, read articles, and I listen.

I like people who are real. I like people who don’t put on airs and are genuine. People that talk about subjects that matter to me and care about the same things that I care about. I like people who are in the public eye, that have achieved celebrity status, and have an interest in using their celebrity status to better the world for all of us – not just for a select group of people.

I’m talking about the one and only loveable Mikey from The Goonies, the actor who played the title role in Rudy, and finally, our beloved Sam Gamgee from The Lord of the Rings trilogy – Sean Astin!

Sean is getting ready to kick of Season 2 of his political radio show for people just like me – the ‘occasionally’ interested – on May 1st and on a new network – TradioV. I am thrilled to be working with him on promoting Vox Populi. He is so sweet that he sent me a gift as a thank you for my help. That is just downright loveable.

What I Love About Vox Populi

Like I stated earlier, I watch what our government is up to, I listen to the news, I read articles online but sometimes, none of it makes any sense with all the double-talk that goes on with politicians and news broadcasts. Sean gets that – that I don’t always understand what is happening with our government – and he explains what is happening in a way that I can understand. His interest in politics (and the way that he presents topics on his show) is engaging and infectious, and – get this – HE ACTUALLY WANTS TO HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY. How many people do you know (celebrity, politician or public figure) that actually want to hear what you have to say and discuss it with you? Sean does! He offers an informed, intellectual discussion with people who call in to the show, and keeps it all civil and understandable.
