Stretching a dollar is tough – especially with only one full-time, steady income coming into the household. We are constantly looking for ways to reduce our monthly household bills, grabbing free coupons we can print and take to the store with us (like our very own Coupon Central). We shop at the local Dollar Tree or Dollar General, sign up for our favorite retailer’s membership rewards cards to save a few pennies, and get cashback from our purchases.

It's All About the Savings

We try to change the way that our family eats buy buying in bulk, buying off-brand, or buying nothing but fresh ingredients and making large batches to freeze for later meals. We squirrel away lose change to take to the bank at the end of the month and put in the savings account. We might even be able to squeeze in a much needed weekend family vacation now and again if we’ve been frugal enough.

While that’s all well and good and actually does make a difference, there are times when you can find a better deal hidden online. Usually they are somewhere you don’t normally look or wouldn’t normally hear about in your everyday travels across cyberspace – unless you knew where to go and where to look.

See me? I’m an online window shopper. I love being able to take a moment to myself and check out my favorite sites and look for items that hubby or the kids have mentioned in passing that they want. Naturally, you can’t window shop when the kids are home because, teenagers being teenagers, the minute they see you on their favorite website the hounding and pleading begins and just. doesn’t. stop.

the Savings.com Elves hard at work finding you the best deals!

My friends over at Savings.com are completely and totally amazing. I don’t know how they do it, (I think they secretly have elves that they employee to scour the internet 24/7 for the best deals and put them all in one place) but I can find a discount code or a great deal almost every single time from all of my favorite merchants on their website.

Doesn’t matter what you are looking for. Nursery items? Check. Electronics? Check. Making your weekly grocery list? Check. Need some new holiday decor to replace the items you’ve had for the past 20 years? Check. If it’s something you need, it’s a safe bet that you’re going to find a deal for it on Savings.com.

Those little elves are working hard every night to bring you the hottest deals around each morning on the main page. Don’t see something there that you need? Check out the categories to the left for a more in-depth look for what you want – some with hundreds and even thousands of coupon codes and specials just waiting for you – depending on the category naturally.

Our friends over at Coupon Chief have created a new guide entitled, Retail Savings Guide for People with Disabilities.  According to Census.gov, people with a disability are twice as likely to experience persistent poverty, and make up almost 1/5 of our population. The guide that they have created offers a virtual gold mine of information on the different discount programs available to our friends and readers who may be dealing with a disability.

So bookmark our Coupon Central page for your grocery shopping. They go hand-in-hand and will amaze you at how much you can save!
